    We are going to be posting fishing tips and fish recipes on a regular weekly basis on our fishing Facebook. We will also be posting hunting tips, a hunting photo of the week, and wild game cooking recipe every week on our hunting Facebook. We will be posting a tailgate recipe and a car or truck photo of the week on our automotive Facebook. Our Tennis Facebook and Golf Facebook will have a tip of the week as well.

If we select one of your submissions for posting on our various Facebook pages we will email a coupon to you for $100 to be redeemed against the retail value of any of our sunglass lines. You can use the sunglasses for yourself or sell then to generate cash. You can win as many times as we select your submission. We will give you credit for the submission when we post it. If your submission is not selected the week you send it do not give up as we may select it at a later date.     The next Board meeting will be on Saturday April 5, 2014 and will be held again at the Harbor Restaurant and marina on Pomme De Terre lake. Breakfast buffet will start at 7:30 am and the meeting will start at 9:00am. Please attend the breakfast buffet if possible before the meeting as we will not have to pay a meeting room charge if most pay and eat breakfast. Last year the food was excellent and the meeting went quick.


    Bring money for Raffle tickets that have been sold and plan on picking up some if you were not at the January meeting or if you need more. The winners will be drawn at the July Summer sizzler.


    Presidents Rodeo following the meeting. The cost is $20 per man and 1 winner gets half the pot. The other half goes to our National Angler to help with expenses. Last year winners Brian Wilosn and Matt Mundell of Wapello County will be defending their title and will bring the traveling trophy.

    Legislation aims to change the definition of livestock

    Jefferson City, MO | March 6, 2014 - House Bill 2031 aims to change the definition of livestock to include elk and captive cervids. The bill was introduced by Representative Sandy Crawford of District 129 and has an initial hearing this Tuesday, March 11 at 8 a.m. in House Hearing Room 4 at the State Capital. Senator Lager District 12 introduced companion Senate Bill 964. A hearing for SB 964 has not yet been set.
    The bill reads "Livestock", cattle, calves, sheep, swine, ratite birds including but not limited to ostrich and emu, aquatic products as defined in section 277.024, llamas, alpaca, buffalo, elk and captive cervids documented as obtained from a legal source and not from the wild, goats, or horses, other equines, or rabbits raised in confinement for human consumption.

    Springfield, Mo.--Missouri high school anglers will have the opportunity to compete June 7-8 at Table Rock Lake in the 2014 Bass Pro Shops Open Championship of High School Fishing.

    The bass tournament is open to all Missouri high schools that have signed up for the Missouri State High School Activities Association bass fishing activity. Bass Pro Shops a leading retailer of equipment for hunting, fishing, camping, boating and other outdoor pursuits, will be awarding $10,000 in scholarships to the top three schools: $5,000 for the winning club; $3,000 for the runner-up; and $2,000 for third place.
