The Missouri Bass Federation Nation is pleased to announce that Koppers Live Target Tackle Company has been selected to become the exclusive HARD BAIT Sponsor for the Missouri B.A.S.S. Federation Nation for the 2013 calendar year.
In 2007 Grant Koppers started Koppers Fishing and Tackle Corp. because of the ever increasing need to meet the needs of a changing environment for the fishermen fishing clear water. Because of the changing water clarity the World’s first anatomically accurate line of fishing lures was created and LIVE TARGET was born. From Shad to Frogs or Mice to Bluegill the realistic and accurate colors of these lures are not only beautiful but have been proven to catch fish.
Included with Kopper’s sponsorship, details are in the works to develop a program for the state tournament to provide these lures to the State Tournament Qualifiers from each team resulting in additional funding for the Regional Qualifiers for the 2014 State Team. Kopper’s will also be involved with our two open tournaments, The Spring Fling benefit tournament benefiting the Missouri Conservation Federation and the Summer Sizzler benefiting The Children’s Miracle Network. Further details to follow.
Robin's Resort has been selected as the host for the 2013 Missouri State Championship.
While weigh-in will still take place at PB2 - encourage your club as well as others to take advantage of the resort when making reservations for next year. A 10 man team can utilize 3 units to cover the whole team
Berkley is asking for B.A.S.S. Federation Nation clubs to submit their projects for the 2012 awards.
It's that time again, folks, to solicit submission for the 2012 Berkley Conservation Institute Awards which recognize the best B.A.S.S. Nation conservation and angler recruitment/retention projects conducted in a given year. The Institute awards a $2,000 check for the best conservation project and $1,500 in fishing gear for the best angler recruitment/retention project. Please forward this email to all of your clubs.
To be eligible, your club must be a B.A.S.S. affiliate. E-mail your project submission to Noreen Clough at [email protected] by Jan. 15, 2013. Representatives from Berkley and B.A.S.S. will judge the submissions and determine winners by Feb. 1, 2013, and Jim Martin, conservation director for the Berkley Conservation Institute, will present awards for the 2012 winners at the 2013 Bassmaster Classic in Tulsa, OK.
Judging criteria for both categories (conservation and recruitment/retention) are the same as that used over the last several years. Submissions must address the following criteria:

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The 2013 Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Opens will have it all — top prizes, berths in the 2014 Bassmaster Classic, invitations to the Bassmaster Elite Series, a wide variety of waters and venues — and on a budget that respects the demands of both professional and amateur anglers.
The Opens consist of nine events — three tournaments each in three divisions (Southern, Northern and Central) — in nine different states, covering rivers, natural lakes and man-made reservoirs and running from January in the South to October in the Central region.
For the third season in a row, Opens tournament winners who compete in all three events in a single division will earn a berth in the Super Bowl of bass fishing, the 2014 Bassmaster Classic. The “win-and-you’re-in” format has proved extremely popular. All 2012 Opens winners qualified for berths in the 2013 Classic, Feb. 22-24, on Grand Lake o’ the Cherokees in Tulsa, Okla.
