2013 B.A.S.S. Nation Central Divisional Standings

Congratulations to Brian Wilson for being the top Missouri Angler at the 2013 BASS Nation Central Divisional Tournament held last month in Texas.

Brian will represent Missouri at the 2013 BASS Nation National Championship in October.

This is the last step for his quest to qualify for the 2014 Bassmaster Classic. If he finishes as the top angler in the Central Division he will be one of 6 BASS Nation Anglers at the Classic.

Good Luck and Good Fishing to Brian.

2013 Request for Proposals from the Reservoir Fisheries Habitat Partnership

The Reservoir Fisheries Habitat Partnership (RFHP) is pleased to request proposals for partial funding of reservoir fisheries habitat enhancement projects. The RFHP is a national partnership established to promote and facilitate the conservation of habitat for fish and other aquatic species in reservoir systems through collaborative actions that contribute to:

·The ecological health and function of reservoirs and their associated waters and watersheds
·The restoration, protection and enhancement of fish and other aquatic species and communities, therein
·The sustainability and enhancement of reservoir fisheries
·Public awareness of the conservation issues and challenges facing reservoir and associated waters and watershed management in the 21st Century
·The quality of life of the American people

Deadline for Proposal Submission: August 15, 2013

Bethel University signed Brian to their collegiate fishing team

McKenzie, Tenn. –Junior Bass Masters Missouri State Champion, Brian Pahl signed with the Bethel University Bass program Tuesday. Brian is the son of Larry and Linda Pahl of Wildwood, Missouri and plans to major in Biology at Bethel.
The Eureka High School product was also recruited by Southeast Missouri State University. He chose Bethel because of the fishing program and feels he will obtain a quality education.
Bethel Head Coach Garry Mason commented on the decision. "Brian is the current Junior Bass Masters Missouri State Champion. We welcome him to our program and we are certainly excited about his decision to join us here at Bethel. He will bring a huge amount of fishing skills and knowledge to our team."

Brian will be attending Bethel on a athletic and academic scholarship. Bethel University, located in Mckenzie, Tennessee, is a small private college which boasts the number one ranked collegiate fishing team in the country.

Brian also learned recently that he was one of twenty St. Louis area high school seniors to earn the Vantage Credit Union Quest for Knowledge Scholarship. He will receive this award at a ceremony on April 24, 2013.

Linda and I wanted to thank everyone who has mentored Brian over the years. Your influence on Brian has helped him achieve his dream of attending college and competing at the college level.
